Name of exploration game?

I'm trying to remember a game I played a while back were you were put on a map made up of all blocks and you could dig down the map or build whatever you wanted. The graphics were bad but it was still fun to play you used a hammer and could change to color of the blocks what they were made of. I know it was online and was free to play.
