What does Newton's first law predict for the motion of a spaceship in outer space?

If the spaceship is moving, it will stay moving at the same speed. There is no friction in space because there is no atmosphere, so no force acts to slow the ship down. Unless it comes close enough to a planet or star's gravitational pull, it should just keep going the same speed.
