Boyfriend felt a presence?

My father ped away 11 years ago... he left my family with only heartache and pain. I am not fond of my father and never have been and never will be.. the pain stems deeper than imagineable. My boyfriend last night felt somebody sitting next to him on his bed while he was sleeping. My boyfriend thinks its my fathers spirit trying to get in touch with him.. I do not believe this because i dont feel like my father ever gave a **** about me and he didn't. my boyfriend thinks its my father trying to get in touch with him to tell him to protect me and tsake care of me. i dont know what to think of this.. is my boyfriend crazy for thinkign this or more importantly why is he thinking like this?
