Why do many earthquakes but few volcanic eruptions occur in the Himalaya?

Earthquakes can occur due to volcanic eruptions, nuclear explosion and tectonics plates movements. The tectonic plate of Indian sub continent pushes the plate of China and you have lots of earth quakes in himalyas due to this movement of plates. It is not necessary that only volcanos can cause earthquakes!
